Connect with Us on Facebook

by Kit on August 20, 2012

Hi Sweet Friends,

A Widow’s Might is now on Facebook. Now we can connect with each other to share tears and encouragement. We are so excited that we have a place to “meet” each other and chat about our good days and bad days, things we have learned along the journey, and ideas to help us get through the rough patches.

Pop over to our page and “like” us. Then start posting comments and starting conversations!

Facebook

You have been getting to know us and now we finally have the opportunity to get to know you! We are looking forward to connecting and hearing from your hearts.

In Christ’s Love,
Danita, Kitty, Julie, Leah and Nancy

Good morning,

While I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your community, which I value, I have no desire to register or open an account with Facebook. Will I be able to participate regardless?

Thank you and Blessings,
Sterling

It has been seventeen months since I lost my husband who was the love of my lfe. I have traveled from fear and uncertainty to a much better place. I have gotten to know myself as a more confident and self-assured person than I knew I was. I have thanked God many times for the wonderful marriage that I had and the blessings of that marriage on my llife. I have kept my job as a teacher, become a grandmother and found ways to serve my community by singing in the choir at church and volunteering at the Salvation Army. I knew that I had to step out of my comfortable old life and create a new life for myself. I have made new friends and tried new things. God helps those who have the courage to help themselves by serving others.

I, too, don’t “do” Facebook. My husband recognized how dangerous it would be and didn’t want me to participate in it. I still honor his wisdom, knowing me as he did. I would probably sit for hours reading all the connections. I hope you still plan to keep this blog.
